Amy Farber Teal is a passionate and accomplished volleyball coach and performance mindset expert with over 30 years of coaching experience, including 17 years at the NCAA Division I level. Currently the Head Volleyball Coach at Concordia University in Austin, Texas, Amy is committed to rebuilding and cultivating a winning culture that honors God, fosters servant-hearted leadership, and empowers athletes to pursue what sets their souls on fire—both on and off the court.
Amy’s leadership extends beyond technical training; she is the Founder and CEO of GAME FACE Mindset™, where she specializes in mental performance training for athletes, executives, and high achievers. Through her work, she equips individuals with the focus, confidence, and resilience needed for peak performance and lasting success.
Her coaching career is distinguished by numerous achievements, including leading Oral Roberts University to six consecutive conference championships and six NCAA Tournament appearances, earning multiple Coach of the Year honors, and helping Austin Juniors' teams secure numerous national championship bids, including a 2nd-place finish at the 2024 USAV Boys Junior National Championships.
Amy’s collegiate coaching journey includes leadership roles at Iowa State University, Drake University, and Northeastern Illinois University, as well as a distinguished playing and early coaching career at the University of Oklahoma, where she was a five-year scholarship athlete, team captain, and All-Big Eight Honorable Mention.
Beyond her collegiate and club coaching, Amy serves as an Mental Performance Coach for serval clubs in the state of Texas, leading mental skills and position-specific training that has helped multiple athletes earn Division I scholarships. She also runs Training with Coach Amy, offering year-round volleyball skill development and youth camps.
Amy holds a Master of Science in Sports Management and Behavior (Sports Psychology) and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Sports Studies from the University of Oklahoma. She is USA Volleyball Impact and SafeSport certified and has served as a Junior National and NCAA-level volleyball official.
A devoted Christian, Amy sees coaching as a ministry to inspire and develop athletes both in sport and in life. She is married to Kirk Teal, and together they are proud parents to five adult children & 1 grandbaby: Allana, KJ & wife, Erika, Kameron, and Kara, and little Rya.
